Lochlea – Smoke Without Fire

A softly peated single malt inspired by Lochlea’s Ploughing Edition, this expression is matured in a thoughtful mix of ex-peated refill Bourbon barrels and red wine casks. The result is a beautifully layered whisky that harmonizes gentle red fruit sweetness, floral nuances, and a whisper of bonfire smoke. It showcases the graceful side of peat—delicate, balanced, and elegantly integrated.

Nose:
A bouquet of sweet red berries and budding flowers, with hints of cherry blossom, bright lemon peel, and a trace of soft smoke.

Palate:
Waves of coastal smoke and fresh-cut oak mingle with subtle bonfire embers, light citrus, and delicate fruit tones. A playful touch of sherbet adds sparkle to the experience.

Finish:
Softly smoky and floral, with light char and fresh phenolic notes lingering on a gentle, refined finish.
