Introducing the third release in Lochlea’s Sowing Edition series — the opening chapter in the Ayrshire distillery’s concluding run of seasonal limited editions. Rooted in its life as a working farm, each expression mirrors the rhythms of the land, with Sowing embodying the spirit of spring. This edition has been fully matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, capturing the crisp, floral character that emerges from distilling during the cooler months. Bottled at 46% ABV, it retains its natural colour and is free from chill filtration.
The nose offers delicate almond and soft rose petal notes, leading to a palate alive with white pepper and the bright freshness of apple blossom. The finish lingers with the comforting aromas of sun-warmed straw and freshly cut grass.
