Lochlea – Dark Briar

A decadent and full-bodied single malt, this bold expression joins Lochlea’s new core range, taking inspiration from the Fallow Edition. Matured in a harmonious mix of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry butts, and Port casks, it offers a luxurious depth of flavor — brimming with ripe red fruits, spiced ginger cake, and smooth, velvety sweetness.

Nose:
Lush aromas of red berries and pick ’n’ mix sweets, layered with soft vanilla caramel and a hint of warm baking spice.

Palate:
Rich and indulgent, bursting with cherries, stewed plums, and ginger cake. The texture is mouthcoating, balanced by gentle tannins and a lingering sweetness.

Finish:
Long, warming, and elegant — with velvety tannins, subtle spice, and a touch of lingering fruit.
