Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is a classic Speyside single malt, matured in hand-picked Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. Produced using traditional methods—including direct-fired stills—at the family-owned Glenfarclas Distillery, which has operated at the foot of Ben Rinnes since 1836, this whisky reflects generations of dedication.
The name means “Valley of the Green Grass” in Gaelic, echoing its Speyside roots. Expect rich flavours of dried fruit, toffee, and gentle spice, followed by a smooth finish with notes of vanilla, raisins, and soft oak. A benchmark sherried malt and a perfect introduction to Glenfarclas.
Nose
